Boxwood Equestrian offers Horse Show Care and Training, along with À La Carte Show Services, to help you and your horse become successful in the show ring.

Horse Show Care
and Training

Full Care includes:

  • Feeding, watering, and stall cleaning

    • Owners are required to purchase their own medications or will be subject to a medication fee

  • Preparatory work such as lunging, bathing, bandaging, tacking, untacking, braiding, ice, etc. from the day of departure through the day of return

  • Coaching fees and professional rides

Clients are subject to medication, transportation, braiding, preparatory supplements, lease fees, tips, staff expenses, and office split charges.

À La Carte Show Services

À La Carte Show Services are available for Board & Training clients and non-Boxwood riders and are priced per horse.

  • Coaching

    • Includes coaching for all classes and lessons on non-show days

  • Professional Rides

    • Includes show ring rides, schooling day rides, and ring hacks

  • Feed and Stall Cleaning Only

    • Includes only feeding, watering, and stall cleaning

  • Grooming

    • Includes tacking, untacking, unbraiding, wrapping, bathing, lunging, and ring services​

  • Medication Administration

  • Local Equine Transport

  • Out-of-Town Transport

  • Preparatory Supplements

  • Braiding (Paid directly to provider)

  • Tips

    • Paid directly to head groom to redistribute

  • Staff Expenses - Varies

    • Split between number of owners

    • Includes hotel, transportation, laundry, set-up expenses, and $40 per diem/staff member

    • Will appear on your show invoice

  • Show Splits - Varies

    • Tack, feed, grooming stalls, and paddock rental

    • Usually split by show office and will appear on your final charges from the horse show

    • If paid for by Boxwood Equestrian, it will be split among the number of horses showing and will appear on show invoice

  • Show Stall Policy: Show stalls must be prepaid and are often non-refundable. If a client cancels after the refundable date, they will be responsible for the full cost of their horse’s show stall and their portion of the grooming stall fee.

*Haul-in horses utilizing show services are subject to a service charge. Haul-in clients must also schedule in advance and provide proof of negative Coggins and vaccinations. Facility use is limited to scheduled lesson/training times. Horse show services require pre-registration and deposit.
